Are you the Light of the World?

Matt 5:14-16, 1st John 1:5-7, John 1:4-10 As a born again child of God, you are described by the scriptures in the book of Matthew as the light of the world. you are to show forth this light everywhere and everytime. does your life portray Christ? is your life a reference point for holy and positive things? people all around you should be able to look at your lifestyle and actions give glory to God and more importantly be attracted to Christ. As light of the world, you have been chosen and called unto every good work. It is these good works that bring glory to God and win souls to Christ. The greatest form of evangelism is through our lifestyle. when your name is mentioned, what testimony do people give about you? If the testimonies generated about you by people around you dont give give glory to God then you need to re examine your life again. In this age and time when the world is in the church and the church has gone to the world, you need to know that God's standards have not changed despite what humans do under the guise of doctrine and religion. do you lie or tell half-truths? do you distort words to avoid telling the truth to avoid being hurt or losing your reputation? do you wrong things because others are doing them? do you cheat others? The scripture clearly spells out that by their (an individual's) fruit, you shall know them (whether light or darkness). what king of fruit do you bear? The kind of fruit you bear is indicative of whether you are a light or a part of the darkness. This is the time to carefully identify where you stand. Are you a light or you are indifferent? there is no mid point, you are either a light or a part of the world. It is very paramount for you to declare for light and make sure that your light is not snuffed out by the darkness of this world. Good Works a permanent feature in the light of the world In the book of Acts, Luke summarized Jesus’ earthly ministry by saying that He “went about doing good” (10:38). The Bible tells us that a characteristic of a child of God and a light is good works. Do you perform good works? good works are works that bring glory to God. The existence of good works also mean that there is an opposite; bad works. A work is good only when it is in line with the word of God and the standard of heaven(righteousness). Good works are not defined by the standard of man but by God standards. Good works are works done with the right motive (i.e to glorify God, love to others and gratitude to God). Another characteristic of good works is that they are done in faith as the Word of God tells us that faith without work is dead.Good works are done because we love God and our neighbors as Jesus commanded us that we love God with all our hear, might and soul, and love our neighbors as ourselves . We must combine love with righteousness for us to do good works. Good works are not easy to replicate by our own self unless through the help of the Spirit of God (Holy spirit) that dwells in every believer. God's grace is sufficiently available to every believer to do good works and bring glory to God. the key is to access the grace through prayer, study of the word and allowing the spirit of God to fill and direct us unto every good work in accordance with the will of God. To be like our Savior and His early followers, we should ask ourselves each day: “What good thing can I do today in Jesus’ name?” When we do good, we will be offering a sacrifice that pleases God (Heb. 13:16) and that draws people to Him (Matt. 5:16). If you are not yet born again(a child of God) or you are unsure where you stand, make amends with God by confessing and asking for forgiveness of every sin in the name of Jesus and asking God for the grace and anointing to be a light as you ought to be. Get thee up Irrespective of past unsuccessful attempts now is the time to rise through prayer, fasting and study of the word seeking God's face and will with all your heart Awake from your slumber oh israel for your salvation is near for the time of your manifestation is now! Rebuild your brokn down altar of prayer reconsecrate yourself to the Lord. fire up your prayer through fasting Study the word for knowledge and light to guide your way Arise, Get thee Up and shine forth your light that all men may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven

An Urgent Message

The church is ripe and very close to rapture Dont be distracted, be sensitive in the spirit, be focused on christ. intensify your prayers as that is the weapon of the hour. fight the good fight of faith until the end. His grace is sufficient unto your need.
